Giving to BASIC’s C2G programs enables Borrego Springs learners to pursue educational opportunities at all levels.
BASIC’s C2G strategy connects with local families by providing early intervention programs that focus on critical junctures of a student’s educational career from Cradle to Graduation. The strategy emphasizes early literacy alongside reading, writing, and math in the grades leading up to high school graduation. Developing strong foundational skills early on better prepares students for each stage of their educational journey. To facilitate their continued success after high school, students receive support through BASIC scholarships and mentorship programs, all at no cost to the learner’s household!
Choose where your gift goes
Every gift supports Cradle-2-Graduation. If you would like yours to go somewhere in particular, choose a program and the form will follow — or give where the need is greatest and let BASIC decide.
- Wherever Need is Greatest Let BASIC direct your gift to whichever programme needs it most this year.
- Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library A free book every month, mailed home, from birth to age five.
- TK–First Grade Academy Early literacy for our youngest students, before the gap has a chance to open.
- TK–First Grade After-School Reading, homework help and a safe place to be once the school day ends.
- Learning Academy Four weeks of summer reading, mathematics and language instruction.
- Scholarships Start-and-stay-in-school awards, and college, career and vocational scholarships.

Donations are processed securely by Givebutter. Your receipt arrives from Givebutter on behalf of BASIC, and your gift is tax deductible within the limits prescribed by law.

Your gifts help provide books, scholarships, summer learning, and other opportunities for Borrego Springs students and families. Where do donations go?
For our elementary and middle school students, your support helps provide high-quality instruction, enrichment, meals, supplies, and the many program elements that make these summer learning opportunities possible. For high school and college students, donations go toward the scholarships that carry them through — awarded to people who need them and who work for them.
